Yes indeed, the Rockies, Canadian or American are spectacular. I'm glad to hear that you have experienced a good part of Alberta.

The drum is all stainless steel and I have settled on 3 lbs as my max load of beans. The dream is to build something [economical] that can roast upwards od 10 lbs so I can start selling on a very modest level, and see where it goes. I can think of nothing finer than [in semi-retirement] suplementing the ole income with a few roasted beans.

I am always blown away with peoples reactions when they discover 'us home roasters'... "you really roast your own coffee !" ...like it's rocket science B)
