Kenya Nyeri Ndiani Kiagundo WP Decaf

How well do I like it?
I like it so well I first bought 5# last month. Scared SM will run out or lower quantities I received 10 more pounds yesterday!

Have really refined my profile in the GC to do this one justice. Paying this kind of price, you better get it right first time. Try to profile for end of roast. Tom says City to FC+. That is quite a range.

My Profile: 300 for first five minutes
Set 471 at six minutes. Its decaf so you don't want to spin it up by using 482. That is reserved for SHB.
Then 7:00 read 368
8:00 read 413
9:00 read 428
10:00 read 442
First Crack has been from 12:40 to 13:15. At beginning lower to 441 for 2:00 or 3:00 and hit Cool. Second Crack can come from 16:40 on to 17:10, using this profile, if interested in high end of roasting scale. I'm not. If I were would only have lowered it to 460 after 1st Crack.

This coffee rocks. I recall thirteen months ago when first got in to roasting. Had gotten a killer coffee from SM, Kenya AB, as I recall. I screwed around and they ran out. My wife let me have it at that time. She loved this one.
Now that we have Kiagundo she loves decaf again.
As you can see, I'm older but wiser????? Hmmmmm. This time I ordered enough so wouldn't gnash my teeth and have regrets! And keep Judy on my good side cause I'm trying to talk her into a nice grinder to give our Zass a break!

Congratulations, Gene. It's great when hard work pays off, eh?

Keep these stories coming!

Chad:
Kenya Kiagundo Decaf
Guess I pressed the wrong button and got this discussion in a separate column. Sorry.

Am very curious about how you and your wife like this one.
You and Ray let us know more after a few days with it.

Ray is correct. It is a little bright but I try to keep it away from deep roast cause Kiagundo has so many good things going in its taste that is lost after second crack.

Highest cupping score in the history of Decaf?
I can see Tom's 90.2 cupping score shining thru for this outstanding cup!
