I will have 40 more pounds available of the Ethiopian Harrar A-1, same coffee from previous buy. Light roasts have anywhere from aromatic hints of blueberry and blackberry to downright juicy ripe fruit depending on roast, and add to that mild caramelized sugar sweetness and hot cocoa with good body. A non-coffee-geek friend for whom I roasted a couple of pounds told me it tasted like blueberry mocha. Anyway, I am buying more because another friend wants most of the bag. 40# are available first come, first reserved. Oh, and the price is $.09 cheaper than last month. Great time for buying coffee. $3.83/lb + $0.50/lb + shipping Please respond to this thread with how many pounds you'd like to reserve. Follow that with a PM to me with your address and I'll let you know about shipping... I discovered that for some addresses there are cheaper options than the flat-rate price. CHAD *EDIT: The coffee is reserved, thanks! Edited by seedlings on 11/23/2011 6:58 PM Roaster: CoffeeAir II 2# DIY air roaster

Sean I noticed last shipment that at least one of the 10# boxes came up as $8.xx had I selected priority mail instead of flat rate online (but I didn't have any priority boxes). The priority boxes are slightly smaller than the flat-rate though. It's only a couple of bucks, but... I'm cheap. yeah, close regional stuff. Sometimes priority is cheaper. UPS is like 7 bucks for regional shipments if you set up a commercial account, I think. I just cant see where it makes any sense to only buy 5lbs. Sean Sean Harrington

Nice fruit up front on this one, very complex and tasty. I like the fact that there is body even at lighter roasts. Reminds me a lot of Amro Gayo mountain which was not available this year. Thanks again Chad Greg- Well now........ that's not suppose to happen!

Chad, I'm glad to see tasty Ethiopian coffee back on the market. I have four different ones this fall. Of them, yours was not the most expensive, but definitely the best. Thanks, and if you decide to get more of this bean, I'm definitely IN. |

Thanks again Mark It's a little elusive... often takes the form of a 'high' berry or an aromatic illusion of a flavor. Yum. CHAD Roaster: CoffeeAir II 2# DIY air roaster

I agree it's a good coffee. I can get the blueberry smell - but no blueberry taste yet. I have two small batches waiting for a taste tomorrow. What sort of roast profile are you all using? John |
