Hello all! After almost 2 years and a couple of international moves i finally got my roaster again! But, for some reason i cant get my TC4+ w/ HC-05 bluetooth module to connect as it was before. I checked the jumpers, i can see it on my computer, it connects for about 5 seconds then kicks it off. the red light on the HC-05 keeps blinking red like it never connected. I thought maybe a Mac update caused a problem, then i tried on another windows computer with the same result. Tried changing the jumpers, same. I can pull the jumpers and connect with USB as well, but its a little less convenient. Does anyone have any ideas that i could be overlooking? thanks for you help! |

Is the Mac the same as before ? The trend of new machines is migrate to BLE, which is not capable to talk with HC-05, you need HC-06 for this. |

Yes its the same Mac (2015), its older and I did update it to OS 12.7 in the last year. You think that could be the issue? I'll do more research if its using BLE and if there is a workaround. thanks |

Maybe hardware it is capable of both, but the new OSes defaults to BLE now , instead classic BT. Just a guess... There are BT/BLE scanner apps on most smartphones, you can investigate this way. |

You're saying the HC-05 itself seems to never get the connection, based on the LED? If so, the jumpers are definitely not the issue, those are only about routing the signals between the HC-05 and the Arduino. Have you tried unpairing the device, and then pairing it again? Or try a different computer? Double check you have the right PIN code as well. |
